When the frictional force between the belt and the drive wheel is less than the force transmitted by the belt, the belt will slip, which not only affects the transmission efficiency but also increases belt wear.
For the above failure conditions, we can take the following measures for prevention and maintenance:
1. Regularly check the wear condition of the belt and replace severely worn belts in time.
2. Keep the equipment clean to prevent impurities from entering the contact area between the belt and mechanical parts.
3. Ensure that the belt operates under appropriate tension, avoiding being too tight or too loose.
4. Regularly check and adjust the friction coefficient of the drive wheel to ensure that its frictional force with the belt is sufficient.
5. Avoid overload operation and ensure that the equipment operates within the design range.
